Link Problems with Acrobat DC and Acrobat DC Reader

S4C distributes various reports monthly and annually (such as entrant's YTD Report) as PDFs that contain links to entrant images. It has been recommended that these PDFs be opened with Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. This has worked well over the years. Unfortunately, there is a bug in the latest versions of the software, Acrobat DC or Acrobat Reader DC, that may cause these links not to work.

Until Adobe provides a fix, it is recommended that entrants retain older versions of the software - Acrobat XI or Acrobat Reader XI work very well, and use the older versions for now.

The links may also work with other PDF readers.

We are also investigating other alternatives.

Problems viewing PDF's using Apple's Safari browser

Newer versions of Apple's Safari browser may not display PDF's produced by our system. Clicking a link may result in a grey screen instead of opening the PDF. Where used, a password is still requested.

However, the PDF may still be downloaded to a convenient location on your computer. Scroll your mouse down over the center of the (grey) web page until a row of icons pops up. Click the icon on the right that looks like an open book. This will cause the PDF to open as a file that can then be saved.

Or you can use File>Save or File>Save As.

Or you can use a different browser!
