The Southern California Council of Camera Clubs (S4C), founded in 1939, is a Council member of the Photographic Society of America Worldwide (PSA). The Council is composed of a number of member photographic clubs from across Southern California.

The purpose of the Council is to promote the photographic arts and education by:

holding monthly competitions open to members of S4C member clubs;
conducting an end of year judging of all images that have won awards and honorable mentions during the competition year - results presented at the annual Installation & Awards Banquet.
conducting an annual international competition (also known as an exhibition or as a salon) open to photographers across the world;
supporting the activities of its member clubs such as by providing judges for local competitions and helping to prepare club members for entering into international photographic competitions;
encouraging photographers of member clubs by awarding honors for meritorious service and photographic accomplishment;
fostering collaborative activities and volunteerism among members of different clubs.

S4C was founded in 1939 and has been a member of PSA since 1953.
